There are all kinds of fun activities to be had while traveling in a Cruise America rental RV. One of the things we overlook sometimes is the magic that can happen in the kitchen. There is just something about enjoying a meal that was cooked in the mountains; maybe it's the view of the countryside or the smell of the fresh air that makes it taste just that much better.
At Cruise America, we have a whole slew of recipe suggestions to offer. Here is one of our favorites:

At Cruise America, we can get your rental RV all ready for you to travel, but it's up to you to pack the things you want to take along. Especially when it comes to packing for the kitchen. While we do have some items that you might find useful to rent (such as pots, pans and silverware), the majority of items will need to come from you.
Our rental class C motorhomes are very comfortable, but no matter how much space there is in an RV, there always seems to be a need for more. This is…Continue

There is no better way to discover the beauty and wonder of this big blue marble we live on than to explore it in an RV. So many travelers would love to give it a try, but they don't own a recreational vehicle, so they don't pursue the idea. It's surprising how many people are not aware that RVs can be rented by the day, the month, or for as long as you choose. That’s what Cruise America is all about … affording folks the opportunity to experience RV travel for themselves, even if they don't…Continue

Traveling in the fall in an RV provides a great perspective to anyone who loves beautiful scenery. There is nothing more invigorating than getting an up-close look at Mother Nature's finest work through the windows of a rolling home away from home. And there is no better time than the fall to experience it. The leaves that were once bright green take on hues, ranging from neon yellow to pumpkin orange to fiery red. The combination of these fall colors brings the landscape to a vibrancy that…Continue

Just because you're on a trip, doesn't mean your kids' education has to come to a halt!
If you're one of the millions of Americans that home school their children, remember that traveling in an RV is one of the best educational experiences there is! If you think about it, your RV can be a rolling classroom, offering learning opportunities that just can't be found at home, or in a traditional classroom. There are a number of thought-stimulating experiences that can be found on the…Continue

Cruise America has always been the "stand out" RV rental company in the United States and Canada. When someone wants to rent a motorhome for their first RV experience, they needn't ponder on whom to rent from; Cruise America always delivers.
Recently, Boston Globe reporter, Emily Sweeney, posted an article in the August 2nd edition of the Boston Globe, in which she described her experience in a Cruise America rental RV as she embarked on a road trip with friends and family for the…Continue

Cruise America wants to remind our customers that this is the time of year that the wildfires pop up all over the forested lands, and that they are nothing to mess around with. The landscape is so dry in some places, that sparking a fire can happen easily and quickly. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time can be disastrous, so vigilance is important. Not only do you need to be aware of where the fires are occurring, but you should also know what you must do to prevent forest or brush…Continue

Sou guardada…
There really is nothing better than traveling. There's just something about leaving the day-to-day rat race and setting your cares aside that makes it possible to relax and de-stress for awhile. However, there are a few things that can really be annoying about taking a conventional trip … the kind where you fly, or take your personal vehicle. Here they are:
1. Being subjected to airline schedules, late planes causing missed connecting flights, packing everything into small suitcases…Continue

My husband Steven and I are living in the Netherlands, Europe. We have been travelling during our vacations in the US/Canada for the last 30 years. This year was our 26th motorhome rental, our 20th RV rental at Cruise America. We would like to thank Cruise America / Canada for all the great times we have had driving in one of their RV's - the first 5 times in an C25 and the last 15 times in an C30 motorhome.

When you rent an RV from one of our Cruise America rental centers, you will be shown the correct way of operating the features of the coach. However, there are a few things that you will need to practice once you're out on the road to become proficient. One of these things is how to properly connect to the electric, water and sewer at an RV park. Hooking up to these facilities is not an exact science, but you want to make sure that contamination, electric shocks and getting your feet wet are…Continue

An RV directory is a handy resource to carry around in your Cruise America rental RV. It is simple to use; just open the book to the region you are interested in visiting and you will find a whole list of RV parks and campgrounds that are available in that area, along with the contact information so that you can call ahead and make your reservations.
The listings in the directories will also include pertinent information about each of the parks that are listed, including what…Continue

RV travel has proven to be one of the most economical forms of travel. There are several ways to save money as an RVer; it just takes an awareness and some effort.

There are several reasons to own an RV. Most utilize their motorhome for pleasure and recreation. However, there is another aspect of owning an RV that many don't think about. History has proven time and time again that when disaster strikes, people are rarely prepared to handle it. Anytime there is a major catastrophic event in our world, there are large groups of people negatively affected. Weather conditions such as tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, and extreme storms almost always leave…Continue

It seems to be that the more advances that are made in technology, the faster the pace of life becomes. We, as humans, are programmed to hurry, hurry, hurry. When we work on the computer, we want instant search results. When we make a call on a cell phone, we want a quick, seamless connection. When we get onto an airplane, we want to get there via the most direct route, at the highest speeds possible. We seem to be forgetting that the reason we take vacation breaks from work is to get away…Continue
