While in Raleigh, you will find numerous hotels and motels where you could stay, but you can’t drive your hotel room to the sights you want to see…unless you’re in a motorhome rental from Cruise America. With a rental RV, you get center seating to all the sights and attractions that make North Carolina a slice of heaven to visit.
Many of our customers have extolled the virtues of vacationing in North Carolina, visiting places such as Lake James State Park. Located in Morganton, this 6,510 acre park straddles Burke and McDowell counties. It is the home of the Whipporwill Music Festival, along with a host of other exciting annual events. While RVing in this Mecca of nature, you can enjoy boating, fishing, waterskiing, and more.
Another stop you may wish to make along your journey is to the Julian Price Memorial Park and Campground. This campground offers camping, picnic areas, a fishing lake, hiking and special ranger-led programs. There are 129 tents, but more importantly, there are 68 RV sites.
If winter is your preferred season, visit North Carolina’s largest winter resort, Sugar Mountain. Located in Banner Elk, you can enjoy snow skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ice-skating and snowshoeing. This is all offered both day and night, so the fun never ends. Winter is not the only time you can enjoy this resort, by the way. They also offer summer activities, including scenic lift rides, hiking, mountain biking, as well as an Oktoberfest celebration that falls in the second week of October.
This is just a small sampling of the beautiful parks and sights that North Carolina has to offer. It is all made even more beautiful when you are exploring it in a rented RV from Cruise America. For information on how you can make that happen, visit us on our website, and let’s cruise, America!
