I am traveling with my Dad, who just turned 75 years old on October 12. This is our first time in an RV, so we decided to rent from Cruise America and try it out. We are quickly learning the efficiencies and necessities of the RV life and are enjoying the freedom and flexibility it affords. We have a very loose travel itinerary with some specific things to do and see on our bucket lists: fall foliage and backroad scenery, historic sites and Americana, fall festivals, local produce and products, specialty foods and crafts of the region, Hudson/Catskills/Adirondacks, Outer Banks, Keys, visiting friends and loved ones...the list goes on. But most special of all, is our time together on this journey to share the experiences and to be with each other to create memories of a lifetime. He has given so much to me throughout my life, now it is my turn to return the favor. To chronicle our trip, I have added a Road Trip 2011 section to my blog about Family Connections. I have a strong belief in the strength of family and traditions, so I created the blog a few months back to share some of our experiences and views that might help others develop and nurture their own family connections (hence, dot-two-dot). Anyhow, if you are interested in reading more and seeing more pics of our trip the website is: www.blog/dot-two-dot.com
If you decide to visit the site, I hope that you like it and also look at some of the other categories that I post (Traditions, Recipes, Celebrations, Encouragement, Reminicing). I am trying to post daily during our trip, though sometimes they are slightly delayed. So far, our experiences on this Road Trip have been wonderful and inspiring, so we look forward to several more weeks of the same.
