On March 1, 2013 Cruise Canada will have been serving customers with their unprecedented standards of excellence for 25 years. Just as their parent company, Cruise America, Cruise Canada was born of humble beginnings, and has grown to be Canada’s leader in the industry of RV rentals and sales. Their strong business commitment to unparalleled customer service comes from a long history of the family owned business.
It all started in 1970, when the long time CEO and president of Hertz, Robert Smalley Senior, started an RV rental business he titled American Land Cruisers. Two of Robert’s sons, Bob Jr. and Randall, were both recent college graduates and began to work with their father in the family owned A.L.C. At that time, the total inventory of the company was comprised of 12 rental motorhomes. The company thrived, and was able to sustain business even during the business-crushing energy crisis of 1974, as well as the crippling recession that occurred in the early 80s.
They subsequently changed the name of the company to Cruise America, and continued to grow, expanding into Canada in 1988. This was the birth of Cruise Canada. Currently, Cruise Canada along with the parent company, Cruise America maintain an inventory of over 4,000 quality class C motorhomes. As they receive new inventory, they sell their used motorhomes to the public. These quality motorhomes have been well maintained, and thus far they have sold over 26,000 of them to very satisfied and grateful customers.
Cruise Canada, along with its parent company enjoyed a great deal of success into the next millennium, as is evidenced by the over 130 rental locations and 13 sales locations throughout Canada and the U.S. Their inventory has expanded from the first twelve rental motorhomes to the now over 4,000 top-of-the-line RVs.
Cruise Canada offers their inventory of fully equipped, self-contained RV’s, as well as an extensive list of their locations, online, which enables the public to make their selection according to their needs. On the site there are informative videos, featuring the many accommodations and convenient amenities that come with each model.
