Dear Cruise America,
I have wanted to write and tell you this for six months now, but I didn’t know if it would mean anything to anyone, so I never got around to it. Now that I am seeing everyone else’s two cents worth on this blog, I figured that I should do it.
My husband and I were at odds last year, as we tried to come to an agreement about the purchase of an RV. He wanted one of those huge bus-like things that celebrities use as their tour busses, and I want something that I can feel comfortable driving … like a rental car!
While he was busy pouting, I did some research and learned about the different kinds of recreational vehicles. I learned that those huge ones are class A RVs, and that they can be very difficult to maneuver in the city, parking lots, RV parks, etc. I also learned about class C RVs, which I found out is the kind you rent and sell at Cruise America. I told him that I would compromise with him. I said that we could rent one of those smaller class C’s from you to see how it goes, and that is just what we did.
We had a blast! It was no tougher to drive than our full size van, and there was a ton of room. Each of the kids had their own bed, and they kept occupied during the whole trip because they could lay down and not be all cramped up in a car. We have rented from you twice now, and we are looking at one of your used RV’s to purchase.
I just thought I’d let folks know what a great time it is to be an RVer. We will be for life now.
