When you think about the ideal RV trip, what season you are picturing in your mind? Everyone has their own opinion about which time of the year is the most beautiful. Many say that it’s definitely winter, with its cleansing blanket of gleaming white snow. Others love the awakening of the spring foliage as it is resurrects in its full glory, bringing forth leaves and blossoms to budding branches that have been bare for the last several months. There’s summer, when we have the opportunity to…Continue

Now that spring is in the air, it’s time to work your way out of hibernation and think about reinvigorating your spirit by getting reconnected with Mother Nature. Recent research has proven that just a simple walk in the forest can calm your mind and improve mental health. Fall is disappearing, and winter is waiting in the wings. It may be time to pack up your Cruise America rental RV and head somewhere out of the cold and snow. Since the kids are probably going to be taking a holiday break from school, now might be the perfect time to escape.
If you live in a bone-chillingly frigid environment during the cold months, it may be nice to find somewhere packed with family fun, but where the climate stays on the mild side. There are many online resources…Continue

My darling companion, Mike, and I are currently in the planning process for our next RV trip. Although if I had my way, we'd always be planning our next RV trip.
OK, you caught me - I AM always planning our next RV trip!
This next trip will be kicking off in September and is part of an influencer marketing campaign we've put together called The Heartland Tour. Most of the sponsors who have signed on are agave spirits brands (like tequila and mezcal) but we have a few…Continue

Dear Cruise America RV,
Mike and I want to thank you for the time you spent with us, our boys, and our pets while we were traveling through Arizona in October. There is nothing more enjoyable than climbing aboard your Cruise America RV and hitting the open road. It's the lack of a tight schedule, the fresh air on the beach or in the mountains and the complete absence of stress that really makes traveling in a motorhome fun.
However, if you allow it, there could be a downside to it all. When you travel long distances, it involves a lot of sitting. In addition, we don't always make the wisest eating choices when we are on the move. The good…Continue

There really is nothing better than traveling. There's just something about leaving the day-to-day rat race and setting your cares aside that makes it possible to relax and de-stress for awhile. However, there are a few things that can really be annoying about taking a conventional trip … the kind where you fly, or take your personal vehicle. Here they are:
1. Being subjected to airline schedules, late planes causing missed connecting flights, packing everything into small suitcases…Continue

It seems to be that the more advances that are made in technology, the faster the pace of life becomes. We, as humans, are programmed to hurry, hurry, hurry. When we work on the computer, we want instant search results. When we make a call on a cell phone, we want a quick, seamless connection. When we get onto an airplane, we want to get there via the most direct route, at the highest speeds possible. We seem to be forgetting that the reason we take vacation breaks from work is to get away…Continue

RV sales have skyrocketed as of late. Experts speculate that the reason is because of the troubled economy. An RV rental was the furthest thing from my mind when I decided to take a road trip from Phoenix to Durango, Colorado for the Music in the Mountains Festival. I was going to drive, but my transmission went out two days before I was supposed to leave. I was going to rent a car, but then I learned that there was not one hotel room available in the area. That really sucked! And no way could I afford plane tickets.
